Do you do one day taster paragliding courses or tandem flights?
No, we are not currently offering one day paragliding courses.

 When does my course start?
Contact the Snowdon Gliders with the dates that you are interested in training and we can confirm availability.

 Is accommodation included in the course fees?
No. You will however find a list of local accommodation on the accommodation page on this web site.

 Do I have to book all my course days ahead before I start my course?
It is recommended that you book your training days in advance, to secure days that fit in with your time off. However, it is possible to phone Snowdon Gliders a few days beforehand to check if we have spare places for you to come and do your training.

 Do I need to pay in advance?
Yes, we require a completed booking form and course payment prior to commencing your paragliding course.

 I want to book a paragliding course for a present, do you do gift vouchers?
Yes, if requested, on receipt of your course payment, a gift voucher can be posted to you.

 I want the paragliding course to be a surprise, it is a present for my girlfriend. Does she need to sign the booking form?
No, complete the booking form for her, all additional paper work can be completed on the day of her paragliding course.

 I might be coming up to Snowdonia at the weekend, is is possible to turn up on the day without booking?
It is best to book in advance, but some days we may have space to fit you in, depending on the course being taught. Phone at 9:00 am on the day.

 Can my son be trained, he is 15?
No, minimum age for taster courses and tandem flights is is 16 years. Trainees below the age of 18 are required to bring a signed letter of parental consent.

 Are there any weight restrictions?
Yes, minimum weight 55 kg (8 stone) and a maximum weight of 120 kg (18 stone).

 How fit do I have to be?
Not especially, but you need to be comfortable in a mountain environment.

 A year and a half ago my friend booked a taster course for me that I have not used. Can I get my money back?
Snowdon Gliders does not give refunds for course bookings. Paragliding courses should be completed within 12 months of booking. After 12 months, to re-book your course a surcharge may be payable to cover e.g. changes in course prices or BHPA membership fees.
